AFC TOTTON'S scheduled game at Shortwood United this evening has been called off again due to a waterlogged pitch.

The Gloucestershire outfit conducted a 1.30pm inspection today and, as anticipated, the bog-like Meadowbank surface was given the thumbs down.

Shortwood’s reserve team game against Easington Sports was abandoned on Saturday after 34 minutes as yet more rain hit the area.

The club website described the pitch as “in a terrible state.”

A new date for the Southern One South & West fixture will be announced shortly.

Steve Hollick's 11th-placed Stags are due back in action this Saturday at home to Slimbridge.
