AFC Totton ended their season with a first point in eight matches.

The Stags travelled to Mangotsfield on the back of seven straight Evostik Southern One (S & W) defeats, but left Gloucestershire with their first point since March 19.

Several Stags fans travelled in fancy dress only to see their side go behind after just two minutes, to a curler into the bottom corner.

But Dylan Knight calmy struck scored a 23rd-minute equaliser after a great run into the box from Mike Gosney.

Totton striker Nathaniel Sherborne was inches wide, before crossing dangerously as Knight threatened a winner.

But Totton were grateful for a point. A diving Steve Mowthorpe kept the scores level, as did the inside of his post.

And, with Liam Hibberd on for the injured Mitchell Hunt, Mangotsfield headed wide the best chance of the second half.

Totton finish the season just below Mangotsfield on goal difference, in 15th place.

Manager Steve Hollick tweeted: “Well that's the first season done, lots of ups and downs, laughs and frustration. Thank you to all the supporters that have been brilliant!”
