WAYNE Mew was last night voted in as new chairman of AFC Totton.
The former Romsey Town and Eastleigh youth/reserves boss succeeds Andy Straker, who was forced step down due to ill health.
Dave Penny, the Stags' physio, will work alongside Mew as vice-chairman of the Southern One South & West outfit. He replaces Roy Edwards, who announced his resignation at the same time as Straker.
A club statement confirmed: "In the special general meeting held in the Monarch Suite, a new chairman and vice-chairman were appointed by the club members.
"Wayne Mew, a well-known and respected figure in local football, was elected chairman and Dave Penny was elected as vice-chairman. Both will take up these positions with immediate effect.
"I am sure that everybody in and around the club will wish Wayne and Dave every success in these important roles."
