AFC TOTTON produced a sparkling, five-star performance to go marching on in the FA Cup.

Louis Langdown’s Stags overwhelmed Fleet Town 5-0 in tonight’s preliminary round replay to book a trip to Frome Town on September 2.

Having struggled on a bumpy surface in Saturday’s draw at Fleet, Totton ran riot on home turf, dominating from start to finish.

They were 3-0 up by half-time with Nathaniel Sherborne playing in the excellent Toby Adekunle for the 12th-minute opener and then robbing a defender before Curtis Young crossed for Charlie Gunson to head in number two.

Sherborne got the third from the spot after being floored in the area and, three minutes after the break, Craig Feeney broke free for number four.

Adam Nditi hit the bar for Fleet before sub Ollie Davies set up man-of-the-match Curtis Young for a near-post finish three minutes from time.

There was a shock at Cuthbury where Totton’s Evo-Stik South West rivals Wimborne were jolted 2-1 by Wessex Premier outfit Andover Town.

Wimborne’s Dan Cann struck the first blow, but back came Andover through Mike Gosney (pen) and Jason Silver to book a home tie against Cadbury Heath.

Horndean can look forward to a first qualifying round visit from Bodmin Town after disposing of Binfield 3-0 through Mark Smith, Harry Jackson and Liam Kyle.

*Blackfield & Langley’s winning start to the Sydenhams Premier season continued with a 3-2 home win over Fareham Town.

The Watersiders looked to be cruising when Jamie White’s penalty put them 3-0 up following first-half strikes from Sam Griffin and Connor Doe, but Fareham hit back with two late Simon Woods goals in a tense finale.

The result lifts Blackfield to second.

This evening's other SWL Premier game ended 2-2 between champions Portland (Alex Godrey, Shaun Bessant) and Shaftesbury.

*In the Hampshire FA Senior Cup, Jamie Bulpitt struck twice in Sholing’s 4-0 win over Whitchurch, supported by Dan Miller and Bradey Norton.

Newport IW added to managerless Petersfield’s woes as Emerson Tattersall, Aidan Sainsbury and Scott Sampson condemned the Rams to a 3-2 defeat.

Totton & Eling led 1-0 through Onandi Shemar, but AFC Portchester hit back through Bobby Scott and Olly Searle for a 2-1 win.

Team Solent had crashed out of the HSC on Monday, thrashed 5-0 by Bournemouth Poppies (Sami Makhloufi 2, Kev Foreman 2, Azu Khider).

Other HSC results: Brockenhurst 4 Alton 2, Hamble Club 4 Andover NS 1, Tadley Calleva 3 Cowes Sports 2, AFC Stoneham 0 Fleet Spurs 1, Hythe & Dibden 0 Romsey Town 0 (Romsey win 4-2 on pens).
