AFC Totton's hopes of a third promotion in five amazing seasons was ended this afternoon.

Stuart Ritchie's Stags were beaten 4-2 at Oxford City in the Southern Premier League play-off final.

Ex-Saints striker Steve Basham was among Oxford's goalscorers.

The hosts led 1-0 at half-time through Felipe Barcelos' deflected free-kick.

Stefan Brown equalised seven minutes into the second half before Oxford eased 4-1 ahead through Basham's penalty, Kynan Isaac and sub Albi Skembi.

Mark Osman headed a late consolation.
