Eastleigh have made giant strides towards purchasing their own ground.
Current owners Ten Acres Holdings have voted to accept the club’s offer for the sale of the freehold.
An Eastleigh club statement said: “The overwhelming consensus was that TAH had been set up to safeguard the club and enable it to get back on a sound financial footing, which it has achieved over recent years.
“This now enables a deal to proceed which should be beneficial to the shareholders and provide the football club with the strongest possible opportunity to continue its progression.
“As is usual in all purchases, there are now a number of processes to follow which will take a little time and the club will try to keep everyone informed as much as circumstance allows as progress occurs.”
