EASTLEIGH are currently boasting the largest percentage increase in the fifth tier of English football.
The Spitfires average crowd last season, during their Blue Square South title winning campaign, was 680.
After attracting a gate of over 2,000 to this week’s clash with Forest Green, Eastleigh are currently averaging 1,473.
That’s a superb 116 per cent increase on last term.
The Spitfires were rewarded with a bumper attendance for the visit of Forest Green after making admission FREE for everyone.
The club can expect an even bigger crowd for the home game against Bristol Rovers at the Silverlake Stadium on Tuesday, September 30.
Rovers are currently the best supported club in the Conference Premier, and will bring a large support to Hampshire later this month.
