Eastleigh's Vanarama Conference match at Kidderminster Harriers today has been postponed after a pitch inspection deemed the pitch unplayable.

At a 9.15am check of the Aggborough turf it was decided that the game would not go ahead.

The fixture will be rearranged in due course.

It will mean that Eastleigh, who have already been subject to a postponement at Halifax this month, will fall further behind their fellow play-off chasers.

They are already three matches behind Harriers, who vacate fifth spot, and, if Macclesfield, Bristol Rovers and Grimsby play their fixtures today, the Spitfires will have three games to make up on them too.

Richard Hill's men are still well placed to chase a play-off spot, sitting on 47 points after 29 games, placing them just two points off fifth.

Considering the recent weather that has hit the UK there is little surprise this game has been called off, but it will do nothing to stop the frustrations of a stop and start January for Eastleigh.

Their 1-0 defeat at the Silverlake Stadium on Tuesday against Grimsby was the first game they had played in 17 days.

Meaning today's postponement causes further disruption to an already disjointed 2015.

Eastleigh are due back in action, weather permitting of course, a week today when they take on AFC Telford United on Stoneham Lane.
