EASTLEIGH have been installed as fourth favourites to win next season’s Vanarama National League title by bookmakers Betway.
Richard Hill’s men are given odds of 15/2 to finish top of the non-League pile having made it to the Conference Premier play-off semi-finals in their maiden campaign.
Forest Green Rovers, who were also beaten semi-finalists and finished a place below Eastleigh in fifth last term, are Betway’s early title favourites at 5/1.
Ady Pennock’s Gloucestershire-based outfit were disposed of 3-0 over two legs by eventual play-off victors Bristol Rovers.
Behind them come demoted Football League outfit Tranmere Rovers (6/1) and Eastleigh’s play-off conquerors Grimsby Town (7/1).
Betway’s Alan Alger said: “As the first bookmaker to price up the division, Forest Green Rovers at 5/1 look like the team to beat.
“Eastleigh reached the play-offs in their first season at this level and look well equipped to go one better.”
