Ex-Eastleigh striker Ben Wright is searching for a new club after leaving National League South outfit Havant and Waterlooville.

Wright played a key role in getting the Spitfires over the line in the Conference South title race in 2013/14 before departing in December for the Hawks as he looked for regular football.

But the 26-year-old is now hunting for another club after Havant bolstered their attacking numbers with the arrival of ex-Saint Matt Paterson, James Hayter and Marvin Morgan, pushing Wright down the pecking order.

A statement on the Havant and Waterlooville website, said: "Ben Wright has today left Havant and Waterlooville in search of first team football after the summer signings of Marvin Morgan, Matt Paterson and James Hayter.

"Ben Wright joined the Hawks midway through last season and helped give us the push into the Play-Offs accumulating 25 appearances in the league and 7 league goals.

"Everybody at the club would like to thank Ben Wright for his efforts at the club and wish him all the best in the future."
