EASTLEIGH are making their next home game against Macclesfield Town another ‘Community Fixture’.

When the Spitfires beat the Silkmen 4-0 in front the BT Sport cameras in February this year, it was watched by a record-breaking crowd of 4,126 thanks to then community sponsors, Compass Vehicle Leasing, buying up 1,500 tickets to give out free of charge to local sports clubs.

Now Eastleigh want to see the Silverlake Stadium packed to the rafters again by repeating the scheme through their new community sponsors, Total Fleet Solutions, for the same fixture this Saturday (August 22, 3pm).

Local boys’ and girls’ football teams and local sports club are invited to watch the match free of charge with tickets available on a first come, first served basis.

Eastleigh appreciate the Macclesfield match is short notice for some and, with that in mind, there will be a second ‘Community Fixture’ for the visit of Gateshead on Saturday, September 12.

To claim free admission to either game – or both – contact the club on 023 8061 3361 or email kamor@eastleighfc.com

Eastleigh will be looking to continue their unbeaten start to the National League campaign at Welling United tomorrow (Tuesday).

Richard Hill’s side, currently third with seven points out of nine, lose left-back Michael Green to suspension after he was sent off for a professional foul late in Saturday’s 1-1 home draw with Lincoln City.

Both Eastleigh and Welling boast in-form strikers with James Constable hitting a goal a game for the Spitfires.

Ex-Havant & Waterlooville marksman Sahr Kabba has opened the season with two in three games for the 16th-placed Wings, who have loaned 20-year-old midfielder Harry Lee from Leyton Orient.
