EASTLEIGH have advertised the post of first-team manager following yesterday’s shock resignation of Richard Hill.

Questions had been asked on the fans’ forum whether the club had a quick replacement lined up for their departed boss of three years – and the answer is a categoric ‘no.’

Under the heading: “Job Vacancy: First Team Manager”, the Spitfires have placed an advert on their official club website inviting “suitably qualified individuals” to apply.

The ambitious Vanarama National League club state that the salary is “dependent upon experience” and, as yet, have given no closing date for applications, saying: “The club will endeavour to respond promptly to any serious applications.”

Anyone interested in the post should satisfy the following criteria – A working knowledge of National League Football or its equivalent; Success in ability to manage a playing budget; Excellent contacts within the football community; A commitment to the local community;  A proven leader with a suitable track record; A pleasing and willing personality .
