STOURBRIDGE  chairman Andy Pountney couldn't hide his pleasure after Stourbridge were handed a home tie against Chris Todd's Eastleigh in the FA Cup second round next month.

The Amblecote outfit are set to host the Spitfires on the weekend of December 4-7 and, having already seen the Glassboys take two National League scalps, Pountney can't wait for the contest to come along.

"I'm more than happy to be having a home tie," he said.  "We've already played two Conference sides in Kidderminster Harriers and Dover, so a third Conference side, why not? It's a winnable tie!"

Pountney has already suggested there is unlikely to be any alteration to the ground capacity (currently just over 2000) and the club would likely stick with the same arrangements that took place for the Kidderminster game, which attracted a gate of 2,032.

It means there will be no temporary stands down the side of the pitch, which the club have used in previous ties against the likes of Walsall, Plymouth Argyle and Stevenage.

Pountney confirmed: "The temporary stands cost a great deal of money, which means we then have to charge more ourselves and then you run the risk of losing money, especially if you don't sell out on all the seats.

"But more importantly, we have an agreement with Stourbridge Cricket Club that we wouldn't do it again."
