EASTLEIGH stormed into the top four of the National League tonight after maintaining their remarkable away record under new boss Chris Todd.
James Constable took his seasonal tally to eight goals with a double strike as the Spitfires followed up their FA Cup success at Crewe with a 2-1 victory at fellow high-fliers Dover last night.
Constable scored either side of a Ricky Modeste consolation as Eastleigh racked up their fifth away win under Todd in six games, having previously triumphed at Wrexham and Tranmere in the league and Bromley and Crewe in the FA Cup.
Eastleigh are now just two points adrift of third placed Dover, with a game in hand.
Winchester City won 5-2 at Southern League Division 1 South & West rivals AFC Totton in the Red Insure League Cup.
Debutant Halam Basker scored twice for the winners with top scorer Warren Bentley, Adam Roberts and sub Harrison Fay, with his first touch, also netting.
Taylor Edwards and Knight replied for a Totton side who slipped 3-0 down.
