EASTLEIGH made it two friendly wins out of two this evening, beating Banbury United 3-1 in Oxfordshire.
Jai Reason set up the opening two goals – one turned into his own net by a Puritans defender and the other nodded in by Yemi Odubade.
Eastleigh then scored an own goal themselves with trialist Danny Burns – previously with Cambridge United – the unlucky man to beat 'keeper Ross Flitney.
But, after the Spitfires had made wholesale half-time changes, Luke Coulson restored clear daylight between the teams, chipping the 'keeper from a tight angle.
Ahead of kick-off it was announced that right-back Joe Partington, who swept the board at the club presentation night, had been confirmed as captain for 2016/17.
