EASTLEIGH chairman Stewart Donald has been "stunned" by the fans' response to the FA Cup third round tie at Brentford on Saturday week.

The Vanarama National League club have sold over 1,250 of their 1,650 allocated tickets for the trip to Griffin Park (January 7, 3pm).

The challenge now is sell out their entire allocation and roar the side on to another famous away win, following on from their 3-1 first round replay triumph at Swindon Town.

Donald said: "I have been stunned with the response to our FA Cup game against Brentford.

"We have already filled ten coaches.

"We will have a record away following and I would ask everyone to help us do what I never thought possible and see if we can sell out our allocation.

"It would be unbelievable to be backed by over 1,500 fans at an away game and, you never know, it might just be another trip like Swindon.

"Those games are what we are in football for.

"The feeling you get from matches like that is difficult to replicate."

As of yesterday, Eastleigh had fewer than 30 seated tickets remaining.

Anyone wishing to purchase those or a terrace ticket can call the club on 023 8061 3361 or go online at https://eastleighfc.cloudvenue.co.uk.

Due to the high demand for coach travel, The Spitfires Supporters Club has again kindly contributed a donation towards subsidising another coach. To book a place please call the club or use the online ticketing service.
