North Ferriby 2 Eastleigh 1
Eastleigh suffered a third successive defeat as North Ferriby boosted their National League survival hopes.
A first-half defensive error gifted the home side a 21st-minute lead, Robbie Tinkler tapping in after Gavin Hoyte’s backward header left Graham Stack exposed.
Matt Tubbs had fired Eastleigh’s first chance narrowly wide from a tight angle moments earlier and the Spitfires were also frustrated after failing to equalise during a goalmouth scramble.
A Michael Green 25-yarder was deflected behind by Tinkler and James Constable shot just wide before North Ferriby defender Mark Gray headed over a free-kick on the stroke of half-time.
Hoyte headed behind an Eastleigh corner before substitute Ross Stearn scored a 77th-minute equaliser.
When the ball fell to the winger on the corner of the area he rifled it into the far corner.
Sam Matthews shot narrowly wide after jinking past a couple of challenges, before North Ferriby scored their 87th-minute winner, Reece Thompson slotting into the far corner.
Stearn was denied a second equaliser when goalkeeper Evans saved his powerful shot during five minutes of injury time.
Eastleigh: Stack, Odoffin (Wilson 56), Hoyte, Reid, Dugdale, Green, Togwell, Matthews Constable, McAllister (Obileye 80), Tubbs (Stearn 56).
Unused subs: Masterton, Strevens.
