EASTLEIGH’S rearranged fixture against Chester is being switched to a Saturday, subject to approval from the Vanarama National League.
The game had been due to take place on Tuesday, October 31 following the postponement of the original September 30 fixture due to pitch problems at the Silverlake Stadium.
But with both sides exiting the FA Cup over the weekend, it has freed up a new date of Saturday, November 4 (3pm).
That will come as good news to Chester fans for whom a midweek trip might have proved difficult.
As a gesture of goodwill, Blues supporters have already been promised free admission by Eastleigh to make amends for their wasted journey south last month.
Tickets purchased for the postponed game will be accepted at the turnstiles on the day. Further ticket information will be announced in due course.
