BRETT Pitman scored twice as Bournemouth leapt into top spot in League 1 tonight.
Two second-half goals, including an 84th minute winner, gave Cherries a 2-1 victory at Crewe.
Pitman had put the visitors ahead with a 58th minute penalty after Mathias Pogba had fouled Matt Ritchie.
Pogba levelled for Crewe, before Pitman, pictured, struck with his sixth goal in his last five league outings.
Cherries, who won only one of their first 11 matches under Paul Groves, have now won a remarkable 15 out of 21 since Eddie Howe’s return from Burnley.
Saints loanee Dan Seaborne played the whole 90 minutes for Cherries.
