ROCK-BOTTOM Romsey Town took a promising early lead at Totton & Eling yesterday, but were eventually eclipsed 4-1 at Little Testwood Farm in the Sydenhams Premier League.
New signing Danny Phillips struck with just a matter of seconds on the clock and the Bypass boys came within inches of doubling their advantage when Stuart Green hit the woodwork.
It stayed 1-0 at half-time, but once the Millers had got back on terms, they overran their lowly visitors in the closing stages to put what Romsey boss Danny Barker considered a slightly flattering gloss on the scoreline.
“We scored really early and, over the course of the first 65 minutes, I felt we were quite comfortable,” said Barker.
