Romsey Town were the comeback kings of Saturday’s pre-season friendly programme.
James Phillips’ men came from 2-0 down to win 4-2 at AFC Stoneham with goals from Josh Graham, Indrit Elizi, Rob Blandford and Matt Hardy.
AFC Portchester suffered a 4-1 home reverse against Worthing, while Alresford Town, runners-up to Sholing in last season’s Sydenhams Premier title race, were beaten 2-1 by Division One side Tadley Calleva at the Wellington Sports Ground.
Guernsey FC lost 4-2 at home to Havant & Waterlooville while Newport IoW shared the spoils in 1-1 draw at home to Dorking Wanderers.
Gosport Borough defeated Poole Town 2-1, Justin Bennett putting Alex Pike’s men ahead with a penalty late in the first half.
Michael Walker levelled early in the first minute second half, heading home from Micky Hubbard’s corner. The lead, though, was shortlived – Matt Pattison netting the winner on 49 minutes.
Sam Griffin scored the only goal of the game on 26 minutes in Wimborne Town’s victory at Verwood Town.
