Sholing will play AFC Bournemouth's development side on Wednesday at the Silverlake Arena (7.45) in a hastily arranged pre-season friendly.
The youngsters were set to play AFC Totton but due to the condition of the Stags' pitch they forced to cancel the match.
The Boatmen, who will be playing the Testwood Stadium side in the Southern League South & West Division One next term, stepped in and are happy to welcome the Cherries to the Silverlake Arena at such short notice.
A statement on Totton's webiste said: "In spite of attempts to improve the condition of the pitch at the Testwood Stadium over the past few days, we regret that we have had to cancel the friendly match against AFC Bournemouth.
"There is a possibility that a friendly will be played during the season.
"We are confident that the pitch will be ready for our scheduled home friendly against Southern Premier League Dorchester Town this coming Saturday, kick off 3pm."
Tickets for the Bournemouth game will cost £5 for adults, £3 for concessions and £2 for under-16s.
