EASTLEIGH progressed to the last 16 of the Hampshire FA Senior Cup last night with a 3-1 win over Sydenhams Premier outfit Folland Sports.
Due to a floodlight problem at Follands Park, the tie was switched to the Spitfires’ Silverlake Stadium.
Richard Hill selected a strong side with Ross Flitney in goal and fellow Vanamara Conference first-teamers Chris Todd, Michael Green, Yemi Odubade, Stuart Fleetwood, Dan Spence and Will Evans in the starting line-up and Jamie Collins and Craig Stanley coming off the bench.
Eastleigh got a wake-up call when Matt Burt put the Planemakers ahead, but they had levelled by half-time through scholar Tony Lee.
Two neat second-half finishes by Odubade saw the Spitfires through.
