KANE Daysh crushed Totton & Eling’s hopes of registering their first Sydenhams Premier win of the season.

With less than ten minutes to play the bottom-of-the-table Millers were 3-1 to the good against Hamworthy United at The County Ground with Conor Thorne, Sam House and Charlie Hunter on target.

But Daysh, who recently joined the Hammers from Blackfield & Langley, rescued the Dorset outfit with an 81st-minute penalty and a last-gasp leveller, joining young substitute Josh Rose on the home scoresheet for a 3-3 draw.

The result leaves T&E firmly anchored to bottom spot with just three points from a possible 51.

“If it wasn’t for the ref, we’d have won.” said T&E boss Wayne Mew. “We were a bit short on numbers anyway and then he’s sent Zac Anderson off for a second yellow and given them a penalty (for a foul by Hunter) which we thought was dubious.

“We played well and were unfortunate not to get all three points.

“We’re starting to pick up the odd point now though, so hopefully a win’s not far away.”
