FORMER Winchester City wideman Mike McEnery has joined Petersfield Town's push for the Sydenhams Premier Division title.

The former Newport IoW, Havant & Waterlooville and Alresford Town attacker is one of two new faces to sign for the Love Lane table-toppers this week.

Also bolstering the ranks is goal-scoring midfielder Blu Boam, signed on dual registration forms from Baffins Milton Rovers of the Hampshire Premier League.

Winchester cruised into the North Hants Senior Cup final last night, outclassing Sydenhams One top dogs Tadley Calleva 5-1 at Barlows Park.

Paul Masters' men were pegged back 1-1 after leading through a Warren Bentley penalty, but Jamie Thoroughgood made it 2-1 at half-time.

Substitute Liam Robinson struck twice in the second half while Bentley netted a second spot kick - his 42nd goal of another prolific season.

City will face the winners of this evening's semi between Overton and Whitchurch United.

Petersfield were last night's big Sydenhams Premier winners - even though they didn't play.

Ian Saunders' Rams remain six points clear at the top after nearest rivals Moneyfields slipped up again 2-1 at home to in-form AFC Portchester.

Jamie Musselwhite scored both the visitors' goals as the in-form Royals extended their unbeaten run to nine matches.

Sub Bobby Scott replied for Moneys, who ended the game with ten men after Tyler Giddings had been red-carded for a professional foul on Joe Noakes.
