OUT-GOING Bemerton Heath Harlequins boss Ian Chalk is preparing to say a “heartfelt” farewell to the Sydenhams Premier club at home to Totton & Eling on Saturday - his last game in charge.
The 49-year-old is calling time on his eight seasons at the Western Way helm, ready for new manager Graham Kemp to take the reins next week.
“I’ve had a fantastic time at Bemerton and am proud of everything we’ve achieved together, but all good things come to an end and it’s my time to move on,” said Chalk.
“Hopefully the club will continue to grow and the new manager can bring success.
“Whatever the outcome on Saturday, it’s been an honour and a pleasure to have worked at such a great little club and my heartfelt thanks go out to all at Harlequins, and especially Steve Slade (chairman) for giving me the opportunity.”
