HAMBLE Club have won the Hampshire Premier League title at the first attempt.

Promoted as second tier runners-up behind Bush Hill last year, Hamble clinched the championship at the weekend – and they still have four games of the season left.

A Danny Cox penalty saw them triumph 1-0 at defending champions Baffins Milton, who topped the table all season until Hamble finally moved above them last week.

Hamble, who have won 28 of their 30 games, face a hectic end to 2014/15 as they bid to collect a remarkable treble.

They host Bush Hill in the league tonight before taking on Team Solent in the Southampton Senior Cup final at St Mary’s on Wednesday.

They have three more league games against Headley (May 2), Clanfield (May 4) and Colden Common (May 6) before facing Baffins Milton again in the final of the Hampshire Intermediate Cup final on May 8.

A late winner from Tom Sands clinched Otterbourne a third place finish after their 3-2 success at fellow top four club AFC Stoneham.

Tom King put the hosts ahead, with Tom Ashton levelling before half-time.

Tom Wright fired the Otters in front a minute into the second period, before Luke Musselwhite equalised with his 24th goal of the season.

Sands popped up with the winner five minutes from time – his 23rd goal of the campaign.

Perry Harding took his 2014/15 goal tally to 27 with both goals in Bush Hill’s 2-0 win at Hedge End.

He struck on seven minutes before adding his second 20 minutes from time.

Goals from Tom Johnson and Stuart Findlay gave Winchester Castle a 2-0 success at Liss, while Alex Jupp’s 82nd minute goal completed Overton’s 2-1 home victory over Clanfield.

Dan Reynolds struck twice as Andover Lions completed their Division 1 season with a surprise 4-2 win at Cadnam.

Ben Morris gave Lions the lead, with Leon Tatavossian equalising by half-time.

Lions then opened up a 4-1 lead through Reynolds (2) and Dan Lewis before Keiran Hobbs replied in injury time.
