BLACKFIELD & Langley are back in the silverware.

Two years after being crowned Sydenhams Premier champions, the Watersiders have lifted the Russell Cotes Cup.

John Robson’s men made home advantage tell as they overcame Horndean 2-0 in  tonight’s Gang Warily final.

Winger Danny Young struck early for Blackfield and Jake Rowley set the seal on victory around the hour mark.

The Watersiders’ young keeper Jack Nicholson made a fine fingertip save, but it was his busier opposite number Lyall Beazley who was named Hampshire FA man-of-the-match.

It’s the first time B&L have won the Russell Cotes trophy since 1987.

POOLE Town’s Evo-Stik Premier Division season has ended in heartbreak.

After losing Saturday’s big title decider at home to Corby Town, things went from bad to worse for Tom Killick’s long-time league leaders tonight.

Plunged into the play-offs, they succumbed to a second-half Lee Clarke goal as St Neots Town edged the semi-final 1-0 in front of disappointed 841 Tatnam crowd.

To add to Poole’s dismay they had a first-half penalty saved.

St Neots will face Truro City – 1-0 conquerors of Hungerford Town – in next Monday’s final.

The Southern One South & West final will be between Stratford Town and Larkhall Athletic.
