MICK Jenkins has left his role as director of football with Sydenhams Premier Division outfit AFC Portchester.
The former Havant & Waterlooville and Dorchester Town boss exits Wicor Recreation Ground following the club's best ever season.
Ex-England international Graham Rix's side finished third in the Sydenhams Premier Division before beating champions Petersfield Town in the League Cup final.
Jenkins, though, has left of his own accord after deciding to take a complete break from football.
"We would like to thank Mick for his work at AFC Portchester having arrived at the club during the 2011/12 season," said chairman Paul Kelly.
"We wish him all the best for the future.
"Both parties agreed it was the right time to leave.
"Mick wishes to take a break from football and spend more time with his family, along with recovering from an operation he has to undergo during the summer months."
Portchester have moved swiftly to replace Jenkins, appointing Jamie Steeves as their new director of football.
Steeves has left his post as Petersfield Town reserve team manager where he reached two cup finals this season.
