STEVE Claridge’s Salisbury will kick off their debut Sydenhams Premier Division season in the New Forest.

The phoenix club, risen from the ashes of the old Salisbury City, have been pitched away to Pat McManus's Brockenhurst on Saturday, August 8.

Sholing, fresh down from the Southern League, face a tough opener at Graham Rix’s AFC Portchester.

Rix's Royals got stronger as last season progressed, eventually winding up third in the table and lifting the Sydenhams League Cup.

Newly-promoted Division One champions Team Solent have no Friday or Saturday fixture, but will kick off their top flight campaign on Monday, August 10 at home to fellow student side Andover Town.
