LYMINGTON Town boss John Pyatt reckons his latest signing is capable of “scaring the living daylights” out of Sydenhams Wessex League defenders.

Pyatt has plundered his old club Brockenhurst for the signature of left-sided attacker Will Tickle.

Tickle, an ex-Team Solent and AFC Portchester midfielder/forward, has been in hot demand this summer with Lymington’s Wessex rivals Blackfield & Langley also on his trail.

“Blackfield are on his case, but he’s already signed for us – and what a great signing he is!” smiled Pyatt.

“I signed Will when I was at Brock and he scares the living daylights out of any defender.”

Pyatt has also brought in full-back Ryan Fuller who was a virtual ever-present for Folland Sports last season, making 41 appearances for the Planemakers.

But Lymington are unsure whether another of their summer captures, midfielder Harrison Weeks, will be staying put.

Weeks featured 17 times for Town last season on a dual signing from Eastleigh and recently made the move permanent.

Pyatt, though, suspects the youngster might be heading for the Southern One South & West.

“(AFC) Totton are pushing to sign him and he’s got to have a look at what he wants to do," said the boss.

“If he did want to join Totton, I wouldn’t stand in his way of going higher.”

Lymington kicked off their pre-season campaign at Hythe & Dibden last Saturday and came away from Clayfields 3-1 winners.

Nick Magee scored twice and new signing Zac Mouland from Totton once. Seun Olabiyi netted the Watersiders’ reply.
