AFC TOTTON have landed a humdinger of an opening-day fixture in the Southern League One South & West.

Steve Hollick’s Stags will be the first to play newly-promoted crowd magnets Hereford on Saturday, August 6.

The match will take place at Totton’s Testwood Stadium home - and it will not be the Bulls' first visit to the ground.

They came to Salisbury Road almost two years ago - then as the old Hereford United - winning 2-1 in the FA Trophy first qualifying round.

Winchester City – play-off semi-finalists last season – open the new campaign away to Slimbridge, while promoted Sydenhams champions Salisbury entertain Evesham United.

Four days later comes another mouthwatering clash when Winchester go head-to-head with Steve Claridge's Salisbury (Wednesday, August 10, 7.45) at the Denplan City Ground.

Totton's first midweek assignment is at Swindon Supermarine on the Tuesday (August 9, 7.45).

*AFC Totton will entertain Winchester City in the first round of the Southern League Challenge Cup (formerly Red Insure Cup) in the week beginning October 3.

Salisbury have been drawn at home to Premier Division outfit Dorchester Town.
