SALISBURY put a 630-strong crowd through a rollercoaster of emotions in today's 4-4 Southern One South & West draw with Bideford.

The Whites stormed back from 3-1 down to lead 4-3 but conceded an equaliser with the last kick of the game.

After Salisbury's Tommy Wright had hit the bar, they fell behind to a 15th-minute Sean Downing goal. Sam Roberts levelled before James Richards and Ben Watson put Bideford in the clear.

Salisbury clawed back through a Justin Bennett header and Kane O'Keefe's tap-in and, despite having a Steve Walker 'goal' disallowed, looked to have won it when Lewis Benson nodded in for 4-3 after 73 minutes.

Whites then had two penalty appeals turned down and, to cap their frustration, Ian Sampson levelled things up in stoppage time with a speculative cross that looped in.

Salisbury, sixth, have signed Forest Green's teenage attacker Olly Mehew on a three-month loan.

Mehew - formerly of Blackburn and Bristol Rovers - recently impressed Whites boss Steve Claridge playing on loan for Mangotsfield.

"He's pacy and enthusiastic," said Claridge. "He'll bring us another attacking option as he can play up front or wide."
