TEAM Solent's season has finally lifted off with a third straight victory.
With the new university year getting under way, the Southampton Solent side are regaining strength.
Star man Jesse Waller-Lassen was back for Saturday's 2-1 Sydenhams Premier win over Horndean and three new faces featured in the side.
Silvano Obeng, a product of Kettering Town's under-21s, scored the opener and Pip Nolan made it 2-0 when he got the slightest of touches to an inswinging corner.
Horndean's reply was also credited to Nolan who again got the last touch - into his own net - when the ball was smashed across the area.
Joining 20-year-old Obeng among Solent's new boys was midfielder/striker Giovanni Landu, who was on Bradford City's books as a scholar, and Bradley Banda, a Gibraltar under-19 goalkeeper.
*EASTLEIGH youngster Tom Bearwish scored his first competitive goal for Portland United on Saturday to add to Andover Town’s Sydenhams Premier woes.
The 16-year-old, on a dual-registration from the Spitfires, bounced off the Islanders' bench to head home Jamie Beasley’s 70th-minute corner.
It clinched promoted Portland’s first win in five league games and left Glenn Burnett’s new charges Andover struggling second-to-bottom with just four points from eight outings.
Andover return to action tomorrow (Tuesday, 7.45) away to Cowes Sports in the Hampshire FA Senior Cup second round.
