BROCKENHURST head into tomorrow's Southampton Senior Cup third round tie at home to Totton & Eling buoyed by Saturday’s 5-3 Sydenhams Premier win over Fareham Town.
Ryan Long scored a hat-trick from the Badgers, getting his third from the penalty spot after top scorer and regular spot-kick man Mark Barker, AKA Sparkie, had generously stood aside.
Barker and Will Tickle were also on target for Brock, with Liam Kimber, Jay Ripiner and George Davis getting the Fareham replies.
Brock boss Pat McManus tweeted: “Welcome 3 pts today, great gesture from @Sparkie997 giving up the pen for Ryan Long to complete his hat-trick.”
Totton & Eling also go into tomorrow's game on the back of a win. Joseph Selby’s goal edged them past AFC Stoneham 1-0 on Saturday, taking the Millers seventh in Sydenhams One.
