GOSPORT Borough were washed away by a flood of second-half goals from Concord Rangers on a saturated surface at the Aerial Direct Stadium.
With the game under serious threat of postponement, volunteers joined ground staff in getting the pitch playable for the Community Day clash which drew in 1,005 crowd.
But, after a goalless first half, Concord scored within 90 minutes of the restart and went on to claim a 5-2 National League South victory against Alex Pike's men.
Ex-AFC Bournemouth and Poole frontman Jordan Chiedozie inflicted the bulk of the damage with a hat-trick and Steve Cawley struck twice. Aaron Dawson and sub Ben Wright scored for Gosport.
*Tom Killick’s young Poole Town side got the better of Richard Hill’s experienced Whitehawk 3-1 at Tatnam.
The Dolphins, now sixth, scored just before and just after half-time through Luke Burbidge and Marvin Brooks.
Steve Devlin added a third just past the hour, rendering Marvin Hamilton`s 78th-minute reply a mere consolation.
Whitehawk’s starting 11 included ex-Eastleigh quartet Ross Flitney, Glen Southam, Ben Strevens and Reece Connolly, plus Spitfires loanee Tony Lee.
