LYMINGTON Town’s six-match winless run is over thanks to former Totton & Eling sharpshooter Sam House.
House’s stunning 20-yarder earned Lymo a long overdue 1-0 victory at Sydenhams Premier strugglers Whitchurch United on Saturday.
The result leaves Whitchurch just a point clear of bottom club Fareham Town in 20th spot.
Leapfrogging the Jamboys were Cowes Sports who did their survival hopes a power of good with a 2-0 home win over Bournemouth Poppies.
Cowes netted a goal in each half as Jason Malcolmson’s opener was followed by a Jordan Browne penalty awarded for a foul on Jason Ince.
