SUTTON UNITED have signed former Salisbury City goalkeeper Will Puddy on loan following Wayne Shaw's exit and an injury to Ross Worner on Saturday.
With Shaw no longer available following his post-piegate resignation, defender Simon Downer went between the sticks after 16 minutes of Sutton's game at Torquay United on Saturday.
Sutton were 1-0 down at the time but Downer helped them to a 3-2 win.
With Worner unavailable for thwe forseeable future, Sutton boss Paul Doswell has signed 29 year-old Puddy, who played for Salisbury from 2012-14, from League One Bristol Rovers.
