ANDOVER Town have added to their armoury with the signing of midfielder Micky Hubbard.

The dead-ball maestro has joined the ranks from Sydenhams Premier Division title rivals Sholing.

Andover boss Glenn Burnett said: “I’ve worked with Michael at Winchester City and Blackfield & Langley.

“He will bring good experience to the side but, more importantly, we’ve added a player that possesses great quality and will be a good addition to the squad.”

Hubbard had been with Sholing since last December.

Brimming with Southern and Wessex League know-how, the 31-year-old includes the likes of Hamworthy, Gosport, Poole, Wimborne, Dorchester and Lymington Town among his former sides.

Second-placed Andover are one of two remaining 100 percenters in the Wessex elite.

They racked up their eighth straight win, 2-1, at Lymington Town on Tuesday courtesy of two scorching strikes from former AFC Totton wing wizard Mike Gosney.

Heading into tomorrow’s trip to Portland United, Town are poised nine points behind leaders Blackfield & Langley with three games in hand.
