FOLLAND Sports now have a vacancy for a chairman – as well as a manager.

Little more than a week after managerial duo Bjay Green and Richard Elmes resigned, chairman Roy Kingdon has followed them out of the door of the struggling Sydenhams Division One club.

His departure, by mutual consent, follows a “dispute” with the social club section at the Kings Avenue site in Hamble.

Kingdon commented: “It is always a difficult situation running a football club when there are other clubs on the site.

“My dispute was with the social club and could not be resolved amicably so I have left the club.

“There are no hard feelings and I wish all at Folland Sports Football Club and the social club all the very best for the future.

“My good friend and club secretary Garry Budden is holding the fort until a new chairman is found.''

Follands, nailed to the foot of Wessex One with just two points, are at Totton & Eling this afternoon.
