BAFFINS Milton Rovers pulled an ace out of the pack for Saturday’s FA Vase third round tie at Horley Town.
The Kendall Stadium outfit signed former Pompey striker Patrick Agyemang in time for the trip to Surrey.
But although the powerful 37-year-old led the line superbly, Vase new boys Baffins reached the end of the road, soundly beaten 4-1 by the Combined Counties Premier hosts after being reduced to nine men.
Having fallen behind, Baffins pulled themselves back on terms when Agyemang headed on a Lewis Stockford free-kick for Shane Cornish to head home.
But the Portsmouth visitors slipped back into arrears before the break – a prelude to a disastrous second half which saw Cornish sent off for a second bookable offence and Ashton Leigh shown a straight red for retaliation shortly afterwards.
Horley made the most of their numerical advantage to score two more goals and book their place in the last 32.
