CHAMPIONS Bush Hill have motored into pole position in the Hampshire Premier League.

Taking advantage of Locks Heath’s 2-0 defeat by Infinity (Jamie White, Callum Parker), they eased to the top of the pile by beating Overton United 3-0.

Overton arrived unbeaten in six games, but three first-half goals from Cain Prentice (2) and Martyn Randall (penalty) ensured they left Millbrook empty-handed.

Game-of-the-day, however, was Colden Common’s enthralling 4-4 draw with Liss Athletic.

All eight goals were crammed into the first half with Liss going 3-1 up before two Cal Holloway goals, a Dave Warnes penalty and one from Dave Paskins turned it 4-3 in Common’s favour.

Liam Tierney struck again for the visitors on 43 minutes, adding to earlier efforts from Josh Benfield (2) and James Knight.

Weather permitting, Bush Hill will go head-to-head with Sway at Hythe & Dibden's Clayfields HQ tomorrow in the NFC Hampshire Premier League Cup semi-final (Tuesday, 7.45pm).
