SALISBURY have won the race to sign striker Luke Hopper following his departure from Hungerford Town.

The 28-year-old frontman looked to be on his way to Hereford, but Steve Claridge has nipped in to get him on board for the Whites’ promotion push from the Evo-Stik South West.

A confident goalscorer with a great passion for the game, Hopper was Swindon Supermarine’s top scorer in 2014/15 and 2015/16 with 37 goals in total.

A product of Swindon Town's youth academy, he has also played for Chippenham Town, Cirencester Town and Gloucester City.

Hopper was one of the star performers in the National League North for Gloucester last term, bagging 20 goals before rejoining Hungerford for the start of the 2017/18 campaign.
