EX-EASTLEIGH striker Stuart Fleetwood added to Gosport Borough’s woes by scoring twice in Redditch United’s 5-2 win at Privett Park.
It keeps Borough, who parted company with boss Alex Pike for a second time last week, nailed to the foot of the Evo-Stik South Premier.
Fleetwood’s double helped power Redditch 4-0 up before Gosport introduced newly-signed former Reading and Hull midfielder James Harper off the bench.
Borough duly halved the deficit through Ed Sanders and Ben Wright in the 58th and 60th minutes, but their joy was short-lived as the visitors added a fifth.
Four minutes from time Gosport’s Ryan Pennery was fouled in the area, but Wright’s spot kick was saved. To rub salt in Borough’s wounds, they had Harry Medway red carded.
Elsewhere, ex-Saint Sam Argent scored twice as Basingstoke Town brought league leaders Hereford down to earth with a superb 3-1 win at the Camrose Ground.
