ALRESFORD Town host a North Hants Senior Cup quarter-final against Fleet Town at Arlebury Park tomorrow (Tuesday, 7.45pm).

The Magpies booked their ticket to the last eight with a 1-0 win at Overton, courtesy of Craig Harding’s winner.

On Saturday Alresford were held 1-1 at home by a rapidly improving Bemerton Heath side in the Sydenhams Premier Division.

Having taken the lead through sub Geoff Dunn, the Magpies looked to be on course for all three points when the game entered stoppage time.

But, with 54 second-half minutes played, Scott Hassell nipped in to level things up.

“To concede in the 99th minute at home is gut-wrenching,” said Alresford boss Richard Luffman.

“But, over the 90 minutes, a draw was the correct result.

“Well done Bemerton. They’re a good, young side who have improved loads throughout the season.

It was a good, honest game.”

Alresford remain fifth in the table and Luffman said: “We are trying our best to finish in the top six. That’s another game unbeaten, but we’ve yet to win three league games on the bounce.”

BROCKENHURST'S trip to Horndean also resulted in a 1-1 draw.

Brock took the lead shortly before half-time when young Leon Carbayo-Borges raced through and punished a mistake by the home keeper.

It remained that way until the 80th minute when Horndean’s pressure finally told with a Harry Jackson leveller.

Brock, now unbeaten in five, Geoff Dunn (left) had Tobi Falodi sent off late on.

BASHLEY edged a 6-5 goal fest against Amesbury Town in the Sydenhams Premier Division.

Conor Whiteley got the show on the road for the Foresters with a drive from outside the box followed, five minutes later, by a subtle lob over Blues’ goalkeeper Paddy Crease.

Several Bash misses followed before, on the cusp of half-time, Cameron Roach pulled one back for the visitors.

Without their injured captain Brad Morris, who had been replaced midway through the first half, Bashley’s dominance diminished.

But, following a Crease own goal, Bashley’s Harry McGrath and Amesbury’s Conner Miller traded blows for 4-2.

McGrath made it 5-2 before the visitors hit back with a Kieron Stephens penalty and another by Roach to get home nerves jangling at 5-4.

On 90 minutes McGrath completed his hat-trick, but the relief was short-lived as Kieran Edwards scored for the visitors in the third minute of stoppage time.
