SALISBURY striker Owen Howe is back from suspension for the Whites’ Easter double header.

Steve Claridge's promotion chasers host Shortwood on Saturday (3pm) and travel to Wimborne Town on Monday in the Evo-Stik South West.

Second-placed Salisbury are unbeaten in their last five league games and sit seven points clear of Wimborne, who slipped to fourth after holding leaders Taunton 3-3 in midweek.

Swindon Supermarine are now third, six points behind the Whites but having played two games more.

Back in September, Salisbury crushed lowly Shortwood 8-0 away and will be hoping to complete a league double at the Ray Mac..

Whites boss Steve Claridge said: “They (Shortwood) have a free hit coming to our place as they are not going to get relegated.

“They are a side which likes to play the ball on the ground, so it should be a very entertaining game. We are looking for three points, which sets us for the trip to Wimborne.”

All eyes on Monday will be on Wimborne goal machine Toby Holmes who struck twice at Taunton before Billy Maybury rescued the Magpies a late point.

Holmes has netted 19 times – including three hat-tricks – in his last ten appearances, taking his season’s tally to 47, including 34 in the league. Only Cirencester’s Ben Whitehead (35) has more.

Wimborne boss Matty Holmes said: “Toby’s desperately trying to get that trophy for leading scorer.

“The way he’s going I’m sure he’s got a great chance of nicking it.”
