BLACKFIELD & Langley’s chances of lifting the Hampshire FA Senior Cup at St Mary’s tomorrow (7.45pm) may well depend on Lee Bradbury’s priority list.

The Sydenhams Wessex League high-fliers go into the final in magnificent form, having lost just one of their last 20 games in league and cup.

But with tomorrow's opponents, Bradbury’s Havant & Waterlooville, seemingly well on course to join Eastleigh in the National League next term, the Watersiders will have their work cut out if the Hawks roll up with anywhere near a full-strength squad.

Tomorrow's is one of two big St Mary’s dates for Blackfield. They have also made it through to the Southampton Senior Cup final where they will face Saints under-23s on Wednesday, May 2 (7.30pm).

“It’s safe to say we’ll be underdogs in both finals,” said Blackfield’s co-assistant manager Chris Farrell.

“Havant & Waterlooville are second in the Conference South on goal difference to Dartford and you’d think promotion would be their top priority, so how that affects their thinking for tomorrow, I don’t know.

“A club of that size probably belongs in the Conference.

"In James Hayter, Alfie Rutherford, Matt Tubbs and Jason Prior, they’ve got four exceptionally good strikers and, whatever side they put out, it will be a really tough game.

"We have to be aware of the quality of opposition and we will give Havant full respect.”

Blackfield, though, will be no pushovers with the long-serving Farrell admitting: “The club’s probably in the best place it’s ever been.”

They are gunning for silverware on three fronts, sitting second to long-time leaders Andover Town in the Sydenhams Premier title race with games in hand.

“I was fortunate enough to be here the only time we won the Wessex League in 2012/13 and that was really enjoyable,” added Farrell.

“This season is just as enjoyable, maybe more so. Glenn (Howes, manager) and James Wood (coach/assistant) have done a tremendous job and we’re all looking forward to tomorrow.

“If Havant turn up all guns blazing, it would be a tough ask for any Wessex League team to beat them, but hopefully we’ll get some opportunities and it will be our night.

“Regardless of the outcome, it’s a very big occasion played in the trappings of a Premier League ground and we’re going to enjoy it.”

Blackfield will be without cup-tied attackers Craig McAllister and Sami Makhloufi but, with Sam Griffin (27 goals), Liam Robinson (25) and Rudy Plummer (22), they are no shrinking violets in front of goal.

“On paper we’ve got a potent front three, so let’s see if one or two of them can find a bit of magic and make it a good night,” said Farrell.

Entry to St Mary's tomorrow is £10 adults and £5 concessions with tickets available to buy on the gate.

Havant are looking to lift the Cup for the second time in three seasons, having defeated Winchester City on penalties at St Mary’s in 2016.
