GOSPORT Borough have given themselves a real shot at Evo-Stik South Premier survival after punishing under-strength Frome Town 7-0 in the last home game of the season.

Frome, in the grip of a player crisis, travelled with just ten men and Borough took full advantage with four goals from former Eastleigh striker Ben Wright and a Ryan Pennery hat-trick.

With one team to go down, Gosport are now level on points with Dunstable Town, who picked a rare point in a 0-0 draw with St Ives.

The teams have an eye-watering identical goal difference of minus 107, but Borough have heaved themselves off the bottom courtesy of scoring ten more goals.

Dunstable – who themselves face Frome on the final day - have a game in hand which they will play at Biggleswade on Tuesday before Gosport visit them on Thursday.

Borough go to St Neots on the last day.
