HEREFORD’S loss has been Salisbury’s gain with forward Pablo Haysham agreeing terms for the Whites for next season.

Haysham, a Hereford fans’ favourite, was one of three players who rejected an initial offer from the Bulls to stay on for 2018/19.

It has since been confirmed that he will be part of Salisbury’s newly-promoted squad in the Southern Premier Division.

Haysham arrives at the Ray Mac armed with stacks of experience, having joined Hereford in 2015 from Didcot Town.

During three seasons with Didcot, he played 115 games and scored 36 goals, forming a prolific partnership with John Mills which later continued at Hereford.

The Bulls have been placed in the National League North for next season and that was influential in Haysham’s thinking.

He said: “Unfortunately the decision to put us in the Northern division has meant it would be extremely difficult logistically to continue to play for this football club.

“The three years (at Hereford) have been absolutely incredible and I have created memories and friendships that will last forever.”

Whites boss Steve Claridge has also welcomed a young goalkeeper into the Salisbury fold.

Marcus Beauchamp has made the move from Hungerford Town, having previously played for Newport County via the Bristol Rovers and Norwich City youth teams.
