Pike commits to Gosport job

Alex Pike
Gosport Borough manager Alex Pike has committed his future to his hometown club after winning promotion to the Evo-Stik Southern Premier.
Pike admitted he was interested in the vacancy at AFC Totton before securing a second promotion in seven years that means Gosport will be in the same division as the Stags again next season.
He said: “AFC Totton is a superb football club and had we not got promoted I might well have been interested.
“There is no doubt in my mind I'd have struggled to keep some of our players had we not gone up.
“But my assistant Mick Catlin and I have now signed two-year contracts and so has Justin Bennett, with an option for another year, so the club has continuity.”

But agree with you some proper business people need to come in like sean wheelan if he was interested. do you know sean as it seems you do by the way you have worded your comments and you seem to know about the ins and outs at Totton.are you his mum, dad, friend wife? If you related are askhim if he is interested in going back?
Another load of rubbish the only reason he's not going to AFC Totton is because he knows they have no money he knows that most of the good players will be tapped up by Jim Fallon and more than anything he knows that the current board at AFC totton are the nodding dogs the ones who haven't a clue what they are doing who the hell would go to AFC totton no budget no chairman no manager no investment no sponsors and sure to go down The only way at manager is going to go in there if they bring back a strong leader as chairman and someone who can tell the TRUTH they had one he left very quickly

I just want to say that this is Sean Whelan and I have no desire to get involved with this type of stuff so whoever you are you are entitled to your opinions but please keep my name out this there is no truth that I am going back to Totton and if there is any news I will be certain to announce it through the correct channels as for the other comments you really should contact the club and ask them whether they are true good luck to Gosport next season they have a great set up good luck to Afc totton and good luck to Eastleigh to both clubs I have an extreme affinity Have a great day
